Опуская безпочвенный наезд на MySQL, привожу результтаты
тестирования NPTL: неровные наспределение времени (неровные имеется ввиду,
что некоторые threadы замирают на очень длительное время). Так же, NTPL
хуже скалируется, при небольшом количеситве threadов они практически на равне
с LinuxThreads при увеличении ситуация складывается не в пользу NTPL.
Пока существуют проблемы с innodb (и мирает по таймауту).
Все выше перечисленное тестировалось именно с MySQL на RHEL 3.0 (в Ноябре).
Т.е. MySQL пока рекомендует не спешить переводить сервера MySQL на NTPL.
(до новых тестов естественно :)
