Скажу пару слов по ltmodem (как человек, впервые собравший их под новую
схему). В скрипте, ищущем модем, и в доках сказано, что данные дрова
держат следующие диапазоны PCI ID:
Name vendor_id device id range
-----------------------------------------------
LUCENT 0x11c1 0x0440-0x045c
XIRCOM 0x115d 0x0000-0x000F
XIRCOM 0x115d 0x0440-0x045c
XIRCOM 0x115d 0x0010-0x03ff some/all? ids
1-й диапазон, скорее всего, верен, и в текущем ldetect-lst его ID'ы либо
отсутствуют, либо заняты как раз вышеназванными надписями (мой модем,
кстати, входит в 1-й диапазон). А вот остальные 3 диапазона вызывают
сомнения, т.к. в ldetect-lst внутри этих дипазонов имеются отдельные
записи, соответствующие даже не совсем модемам...

Если бы вы знали, сколько еще пакетов застревает на подходах к Сизифу из-за
претензий по качеству пакетов...
Лучше меньше, да лучше. Можно и больше, но только не хуже.
