Здравствуйте.
В /i/S/BTE направлен пакет php-mmcache-2.3.23-alt1, содержащий
приятную штуку Turck MMCache питерской разрботки.
Занимается кэшированием php-скриптов в компилированном виде со
всеми вытекающими последствиями по части производительности.
На сейчас используется на http://linux.kiev.ua,
http://linux.org.ua, http://distrowatch.org.ua, а также на
http://xms.com.ua; пока все в порядке (впрочем, решение
принималось на основании рекомендаций ведущих собако^Wphp-водов в
округе и, кажется, может пригодиться и на lrn.ru / altlinux.*).
PS: на случай застревания в incoming:

А как оно с Zend Optimizer'ом дружит?

Та-ак. Спасибо Dmitry Alexeyev <dmi_a qnx org ru> -- в пакете
обнаружилась кучка недоработок, в т.ч. пропущенный нераскрытый
макрос вместо имени inifile.
Пакеты из incoming отозваны до починки; вообще говоря, надо бы
глянуть в php имени mdk, вроде как там сделан автоподхват
кусочков конфига из %phpdir (/etc/php/).

mv /etc/php/%inifile /etc/php/99_mmcache.ini
$EDITOR /etc/php/99_mmcache.ini
