Anomy Sanitizer

Anomy Sanitizer ( http://mailtools.anomy.net/ ) is not a virus scanner (though 
a virus scanner can be used with it). Instead, deals with all the security 
problems e-mail virus scanners ignore: MIME exploits, web bugs, malicious 
HTML tags, and other problems that have made MS Outlook such a security 
headache. 

Anomy Sanitizer is written in Perl. It filters SMTP messages checking for most 
known exploits and hostile file attachments. It can remove attachments, 
rename unknown file types, "defang" exploitable HTML tags, fix MIME headers 
and perform other essential mail security tasks. Such high level filtering is 
an essential addition to anti-virus software.
