Добрый день!
Существует проблемма:
к порту COM2 подключен UPS, подняты демоны apcupsd, upsmon, upsd
В логах выводяться такие сообщения:
May 24 19:21:41 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read timed out
May 24 19:21:41 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read ok again
May 24 19:21:47 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read timed out
May 24 19:21:47 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read ok again
May 24 19:21:52 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read timed out
May 24 19:21:53 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read ok again
May 24 19:21:58 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read timed out
May 24 19:21:58 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read ok again
May 24 19:22:04 Castle apcsmart[928]: Serial port read timed out

Подскажите, что может являться причиной появления данных сообщений

Какой UPS ? Что в настройках ? Определитесь с демоном: nut(upsd)
или apcupsd -- но не оба одновременно.

А какая модель UPS/NUT? пробовали newapc драйвер?
Как бредовое предположение - apcupsd и nut не один и тот же ups мониторят?
