Попробовал откатить обновления. Сначала foomatic - не помогло.
Потом initscripts - заработало, принтер запечатал.
Еще стояло для юзера umask 077. Это тоже убрал.
Может быть новые initscripts (что-то с TMPDIR) и мой umask
приводило к такому результату.
Хотя потом поставил все новое - опять не заработало. Но это в
новом трэде. Там что-то вообще кошмар.
