Сделал. не помогло. Снова при попытке запустить ./configure и make я получаю
вот что:

или другая прога:

checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot
create executables.
выводы команд rpm -qa | grep gcc и select-gcc display я дал в письме выше...
Причем последняя на предыдущем компиляторе была скомпилена и положена в
Сизиф.
