Кнечно, маловероятно чтоб не работало вовсе :)

в Component Chooser есть только Email Client, Embeded Text Editor, Эмулятор
терминало. Я недоставил какой-то пакет (точнее снес лишнего перед
обновлением)?
В самом Components есть Session manager но там стоит восстанавливать
последнюю сессию

Я пытался убрать ~/.kde & ~/.kderc - эффект тот-же.
