Поставил нового сервера на дуальном Athlon и начали с ним непонятки - система глухо вешается при записи на дискету. Ставил spring до самого свежего сизифа.
Ядра 2.4.17-smp-alt1 до 2.4.18-smp-alt0.2pre4 - полный завис без всякой диагностики. C-A-D не работает, sysrq не пробовал. На 12 консоли ничего не выскакивает.
На 2.4.18-alt0.2-pre4-up все работает и не чихает (!!!).
Тестировал методом sync sync mkbootdisk 2.4.18-alt0.2.pre4-smp и tar cf /dev/fd0.
Пробовал в lilo для ядра передавать noapic, в биосе ставил MPS specification 1.1 и 1.4 - ничего не помогло.
Что можно сделать в этой ситуации? Откатываться на 2.2 ядро совсем не хочется (reiserfs), да и поддерживает ли оно amd760MP.
