Данное письмо адресуется всем сделавшим dist-upgrade и получившим в
итоге нерабочий kcontrol, ненастраиваемый konqueror и может ещё чего.

но решения я в рассылке не нашёл, поэтому прилагаю своё. Возможно
пригодится кому.
Итак, в результате dist-upgrade'а исчезли все пункты в kcontrol и
настройках konqueror. Также при запуске kcontrol жаловался:
kcontrol: WARNING: No K menu group with X-KDE-BaseGroup=settings found
! Defaulting to Settings/
Это появилось ещё весной, но особо никому у меня дома не мешало. До
сего дня. Никакие обновления, проведённые сегодня результата не дали.
У тестового (нового) юзера при этом всё было в порядке. Сносить всё
~/.kde не очень хотелось, поэтому попрыгал немного с бубном, и вот что
мне помогло:
1. вырубание KDE (проверить через ps ax|grep $USER, что ничего не осталось)
2. удаление каталога ~/.qt3 (кому интересно, может переименовать в
qt3.bak, а потом сравнить новый .qt3 и старый qt3.bak на предмет
всяких путей в конфигах)
3. чистка ~/.kde/cache, ~/.kde/socket и ~/.kde/tmp и удаление ~/.DCOPserver*
Возможно, пункт 3 можно опустить, но я на всякий случай сделал.
