rpm -ql показывает, какие файлы содержит пакет.
rpm -qs показывает какие файлы реально установлены в системе.
К примеру, обычно не устанавливаются файлы с локализацией для языков
отличных от ru, en. Также можно установить пакет с --excludedocs и
тогда не будет установлена документация. Ещё есть опция
--excludepath, которая позволяет вручную указать какие
файлы/каталоги вы не желаете устанавливать в систему.
