Hello sisyphus,
Имеем сизиф за начало марта, ядро 2.6.4-std26-smp-alt4.
Не работает xosview и часть апплетов, которые мониторят загрузку
процессоров. По следам strace xosview видно, что открывается на
чтение /proc/stat, вроде даже читается строка текста и дальше все
просто висит и ждет.
Куда копать? Как лечить?

Добавить пользователя в группу proc.

Давно добавлен. less /proc/stat нормально все показывает, top
работает, xosview читает одну строку из /proc/stat, а потом замирает.
