у меня была такая проблема.
по моим наблюдениям это вызвано тем что mount вызывающий апосля
smbmount не передаёт оному кодовую страницу. (или что-то в этом духе)
решился вопрос банально - изменением в исходниках и жесткой привязкой
к конкретной кодовой странице.
PS просьба ногами не пинать ; ))
