Коллеги, добрый день!
Всё-таки, что у нас с usb?
Ситуация: есть принтер, HP Photosmart C3183 (впрочем, проблемой затронута не
только эта модель).
Печать начинается, и немедленно прекращается. Печатается примерно 1/8 - 1/16
листа, после чего наблюдается постоянно "крутящийся" процесс lp hp://... ,
полностью занимающий ядро процессора.
Отслеживание через usbmon показывает периодический обмен bulk пакетами,
успешно не завершающийся (-EINPROGRESS).
Появилась эта неприятность у нас года два (или даже больше) назад, и с тех
нормализовывалась пару раз (к сожалению, не помню, на каких ядрах).
*До* ядра 3.14.18, печать была возможна при следующем, случайно обнаруженном
при попытках разобраться в происходящем, "трюке":
1) modprobe usbmon
2) стартуем wireshark или любую другую следилку, отслеживаем активность
usb
3) завершаем wireshark (! не требуется отслеживать траффик всё время,
достаточно включить единственный раз)
после этого, всё работает.
!!!!! Начиная с 3.14.18-std-def-alt1, перестал работать и этот трюк. !!!!!
Может ли это быть особенностью наших ядер? Явно же гонка какая-то.
PS: на эту мысль наталкивает и то, что в Убунту, например, работает (без
всякого трюкачества).
PPS: видимо, на эту же проблему я наступал при работе с чипами ftdi, так что
считать корнем зла HP'шный софт оснований, видимо, нет.
