Верно, оно так и есть по докам. Но от него ни холодно, ни горячо, по
этой строке модуль вызван не будет никогда ведь.
Ну а по
alias char-major-62 lt_serial
alias /dev/modem lt_serial
и симлинку /dev/modem на ttyLT0
модуль подгружается (обе его части).

Lucent Agere V.92 f/m/v - по памяти.
0x11c1 vendor_id 0x048c device_id - это строго по записям.

Что не мешает иметь ему родные дрова (для младших версий ядра) на "фирменном" компакте и
прекрасно работать с Джуниор (вот не помню 2 или 2.2).
