Этот релиз в основном посвящён plymouth, который новый модный
бутсплеш. LXDM всё-таки пришлось выкинуть, но gdm тоже ничего.
Самое главное: добавлен supertux2!

Только форматом - img это образ mbr с fat32 на четвёртом разделе.

Да, уже неправильный, спасибо :) Сейчас примерно 550.

ну, потом можно gparted'ом растянуть :) На самом деле если содержимого
флешки не жалко, то лучше первый раз сделать makebootfat прямо в неё,
а при обновлениях - обновлять только syslinux/alt0/* и eeelive.

Извините, что вмешиваюсь. Не знаю точно контекста, но в большинстве
случаев эту команду лучше заменить на:
dd of=eeepc-live.img bs=1M count=0 seek=470
