Таки мне не понятно, за что вы (несколько коллег) так ругаете Валерия.
Ну ж разные бывают мэйнтейнеры! И ведут они пакеты немного по-разному.
А с X.org только одно плохо: то, что "X.org в Сизифе" и X.org, который
находится в бранчах и дистрибутивах - это очень различные вещи. Это
вводит некоторых в заблуждение. Некоторых раздражает. И приносит
дискомфорт тем, кто сидит на Сизифе - постоянно катящейся бочке - и
воображает себя акробатом.
