Позволю себе поделиться своими соображениями.
Если я правильно понимаю устройство современного железа, то
переключатель спикеры-наушники - чисто софтовая примочка. То есть в
карте есть детектор "воткнутости" наушников; при втыкании наушников
дрова глушат спикер и дают громкость на наушники. Именно так у меня
работает под виндой. Но в линухе (snd_hda_intel) такое поведение
отключено в пользу раздельных регуляторов громкости для наушников и
спикеров.
