Здравствуйте.
Имеется такая машина:
Pentium 4 2.4GHz (с поддержкой Hyper-Threading),
Intel 82865PE
SATA Seagate Barracuda 80 Gb 7200 rpm 8Mb
Установил на нее Compact, все определилось,
ядро kernel-image-std-up-2.4.22-alt6 грузится
без проблем.
Решил задействовать Hyper-Threading, скачал
ядро kernel-image-std-smp-2.4.22-alt14
Однако это ядро не находит SATA винт и естественно
выдает кернел паник.
Судя по CHANGELOG поддержка SATA в Intel ICH5 была
включена еще в 2.4.22-alt7.
В чем может быть проблема, всетаки хочется смотреть
на двух пингвинчиков при загрузки.
