А на мой взгляд, A4Tech G6-10 - такой производитель, на которого надеяться не стоит (у меня из трёх "проводных" компьютерных мышей одна, как раз A4Tech, "сдохла"). К тому же, если уж единственная ОС на ПК - один из дистрибутивов Linux (в твоём случае - Ubuntu), то надо ещё перед покупкой мыши и проверить, а нет ли её в списке несовместимого с Linux оборудования, и дождаться выхода "свежей" версии "своего" дистрибутива. Говорят, новая (10-я) версия Ubuntu должна выйти уже в этом месяце (в октябре 2009 г.), но и на русскоязычном, и на англоязычном сайтах в качестве самой актуальной из доступных для скачивания версии лежит 9.04. В общем, советую скачать новый дистр (когда он выйдет), записать его на DVD-R, после этого инсталлировать новый дистрибутив. Надеюсь, он при инсталляции оптическую мышь и обнаружит...
