Дуамю, проблема в одном устаревшем протоколе - ident.
Не давно только наталкивался на подобную пролему...
Решение - отключить на ftp сервере этот протокол.
Или же в одном очень даже не устаревшем протоколе - dns.
Посмотреть как резолвятся имена в сети.
