Забыл подчеркнуть, что с ангстремами ситуация не такая, как с
землекопами. В первом письме я хотел сказать, что должно быть не "100
ангстремов", а "100 ангстрем". Форму "other" (для дробных чисел) не
все одинаково пишут: бывает и "1,31 ангстрема", и "1,31 ангстрем".

Почему бы не использовать вполне распространённое обозначение для
землекопов — з̊?
