Купил Мегафон модем 2G. Модель - Huawei EG 162.
Тестировал на бете Desktop 4.1. Вставил модем. NetworkManager его
определил, но подключение к сети не работало.
Загрузил Windows. Установил софт, который был на модеме. Все
установилось, но не работало - писало "Неверные параметры подключения к
сети" :(
Отправил SMS для получения автонастроек. Пришло куча ответных SMS. Уж не
знаю, это ли помогло, или что-то другое произошло, но в какой-то момент
в Windows подключение к сети стало проходить нормально.
После этого перезагрузился в Linux. Вставил модем. Он подключился в ДВА
щелчка мыши. Первый щелчок мыши - по иконке NetworkManager. Второй
щелчок мыши - по пункту меню "Автоматическое подключение к сети GSM".
С тех пор доволен.
