Отвечу сам себе!
Мне удалось успешно настроить систему с 3-мя (и даже 4-мя ) звуковухами:
В /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-modindex
пронумеровал индексы для всех моих карточек.
Кое-как допер как их нужно обзывать в Линухе (где это вообще можно узнать?)
У меня получилось 4-ре штуки: USB, SB live, ViaAC97, и Aver-овский звук.
Но!.... Первым (т.ек.0-вым) индексом надо обязательно нумеровать ЮСБ
звук, т.к. иначе вся АЛСА глючит. Почему - не знаю. Но - факт. На
Мандриве так же.
Далее. Я так понял (правильно?) что карточки нумеруются АЛСОй как 0.0;
1.0;2.0;3.0
В Амароке карточка выбирается так: вписывает в указанные места hw:x,x
где х,х - номер карточки в АЛСЕ.
XMMS с алсой 0,9 все равно у меня играет только через 0-ю по индексу
(т.е. дефолтную) карточку.
