Имеется WD My Book (см. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=601), требуется хранить на нем файлы размером больше 4Gb, а потому коробочный АФЕ32 не подходит. NTFS тоже вроде как стремно (да и mkfs.ntfs у нас, кажется, отсутствует), поэтому сделал на нем ext2. И получил стандартую фичу линуксовых файловых систем - uid-ы владельцев файлов теперь сохраняются, и записанное на одной машине одним пользователем совсем не обязательно прочтется (точнее, почтется, но не перезапишется) другим на другой машине или даже на той же самой. Объяснять домашнему пользователю, что теперь он должен после записи еще и выставлять права доступа - да за такое меня побьют :) . Что посоветуете? Да, я припоминаю длинный срач в community@ на тему выбора файловой системы для домашнего пользователя, но я его ниасилил. Может кто подводил итоги, к чему там пришли? И совсем глупый вопрос: а может есть способ сделать так, чтоб внешние носители с ext3 монтировались как и носители с vfat с фейковым пользователем - владельцем всего? ;) -- С уважением, Прокопьев Евгений
