У меня есть старый комп. под Win98:
Мать на чипе Via Appolo Pro'98 (FIC PA 2011)
North Bridge - Socket 7 - VIA 593
South Bridge - VIA 586B
На флэшки можно копировать только короткие файлы.
На длинных - подвисает то ли контроллер то ли драйвер.
Nexx 450 flash-player USB-1 - вообще не подключается.
Видится, но как диск не доступен.
Как-то удалось подобрать такой комплект драйверов и патчей, что при
работе с USB скорость упала до 300кб/с при дикой загрузке процессора -
но все равно периодически флэшки висли, хотя и реже.
В общем, махнул я рукой на эту мать (такой старый контроллер). Хотя
интересно, никто не знает - на такую старую мать есть какие-нить USB2
контроллеры, чтобы работали?
VIA 6xxx если воткнуть - просто мать не стартует даже.
