До такой. Точнее, флешки очень тормозные на запись. Даже те, которые
считаются быстрыми. А в асере стоят далеко не самые быстрые.
Но натюнить можно:
- установить опцию монтирования noatime на все флешевые FS;
- директории с часто изменяемыми файлами и кэшами - на tmpfs;
- отрубить периодически запускаемые прожорливые по диску и
малополезные для данного применения утилиты makewhatis, updatedb,
logrotate (в /etc/cron.*)

Ну и напоследок хотелось бы заметить: дистрибутивы общего применения (в
т.ч. ALT) "из коробки" действительно не оптимизированы ( и в принципе не
должны ) для работы на таких достаточно специфических железках. Чтобы
настроить - нужно иметь серьезный мотив, а также умение и желание
помахать напильником. Если этого нет - лучше поискать более другие
дистрибутивы, специально на нетбуки заточенные. Их есть.
