Если заменить Foxconn на Asus - то получится моя проблема годичной
давности с ALM 2.4, решённая точно таким же образом :-)

Если в Gentoo гораздо более новая версия модуля forcedeth, то это нормально.
IMHO, в ALM 2.4 есть только один правильный способ запустить эту сетевую
карту - собрать новую версию пакета kernel-source-nvidia-nforce, затем
нужный из числа kernel-modules-nvidia-nforce-*. Разумеется, есть и более
простой, очевидный и неправильный путь -
