Имеется контроллер USB2 на VIA6212L, цена в Мск около 250р. 4 внешних
порта, 1 внутренний.
Работает без дополнительных телодвижений, скорость обеспечивает достойную.
Но у меня с ним проблемка неприятная имеется:
если во время загрузки компа ничего по USB не подключено, то все хорошо.
Если подключить устройство, во всяком случае mass-storage, например
флэшку или кардридер (даже без карты) то машина начинает работать в два
раза медленнее. Т.е. hdparm показывает в 1.5-2 раза меньшую скорость
чтения с дисков, если приложение потребляло 10% CPU (согласно top), то
оно начинает потреблять 20% и т.п. Лечится отключением устройства и
выгрузкой usb-core. Неприятно.
Эффект устойчиво наблюдается на 2.6.10/11-smp.
