Может и сдох.
Но на работе винт Seagate 40Gb - новый. Win98 и Linux.
badblocks показывал в каждом разделе Linux по 1-2 bad,
в fat32 все чисто.
Разметил заново винт с помощью загрузочного CD Seagate,
там же отформатировал FAT32.
badblocks говорит все чисто.
format c: сносит все разделы, если они не созданы с помощью (Win)fdisk.
