Ну хотелось бы хотя бы иметь альтернативы, не зря же AltLinux.:)
Вобщем колюсь, патч, позволяющий собирать 4496 под kernel 2.6
лежит здесь:

Взят был следуя linux.alhimia.ru. "Они еще кипятят!":) в смысле
собирают ядро так, как Alt уже год как не делает.:)
Ну а остальное дело техники.
