Найди и установи на диске с дистрибутивом следующие пакеты:
hcfpcimodem-utils-0.99mbsibeta02123100-alt1.i586.rpm
kernel-modules-hcfpcimodem-std-[up|smp]-0.99mbsibeta02123100-alt3.17.i586.rpm
Должно помочь.
