Видимо, если это двигатели переменного тока, питающиеся напрямую от сети, либо
низкочастотные (50Гц) трансформаторы. Высокочастотные гармоники будут уходить
в потери, общий КПД падать.
В свое время лично наблюдал, как подвисал старенький свич, когда он был
подключен к простому бесперебойнику, и бесперебойник питался от батареи.
Только от того, что БП у свича был обычный трансформаторный 50 Гц - напряжение
на выходе выпрямителя оказывалось ниже нормы - свич работал на пределе.
Поменял бесперебойник - проблемы исчезли.
