В принципе этот вариант должен быть даже надёжнее, если есть куда
подключить (всё равно USB в тех UPS, которые мне попались, на самом
деле реализован через встроенный в UPS преобразователь USB-COM; ну и
APC SmartUPS 1000, отваливающийся от USB через несколько дней работы,
мне тоже попадался - но как раз там был реализован не USB-COM, а хоть
немного похожий на стандартный HID Power Device).
