Значит, придётся сперва выяснить, в чём дело с synaptics,
поскольку простой мышиный драйвер этой скролловой полоски
не умеет.
Если кнопок три, можно перебиваться использованием средней
как такого себе scroll lock (нажимаем и ведём указатель):
