вопрос - что (марка/модель) посоветуете брать, чтоб с Linux проблем
поменьше?

Неоднократно здесь отвечалось - Intel. У меня, например, ipw2200.

А что то из этой песнив PCI формате имеется? Я что-то только mini pci

У меня prism2 как-то упснулось при слабом/теряющемся через
полметровую стенку сигнале. Причём довольно неприятно.

Я взял два Z-Com Z700, один в режиме точки, второй в режиме клиента. Так
это самостоятельная железка проблем ни с линухой и с виндой нет.
