IOMMU можно использовать по-разному и по-разному называть. У intel оно
используется пока только для паравиртуализации и называется VT-d. В моем
Core2Duo оно есть. А если вести разговор про HyperTransport, то это не та
ниша, там проще купить low-end от Sun (на AMD64), хоть будешь знать куда
жаловаться ;) Т.е. на объемах памяти <= 3-4Gb и работе с i586
наличие/отсутствие IOMMU незаметно.
