Столкнулись с этим на 915 чипсете. Нужна была рабочая станция с
не менее 4Г ОЗУ.
Но оказалось, что из 4Г видно максимум 3.4 независимо от ОСи.
Как оказалось, это неисправимое преимущество чипсета i915.
Принципиально не лечится. Спасибо Интелу... Видимо, с i945 то же
самое.
