Здравствуйте.
Добрался-таки не только древний SCSI, но и умеренно древний
FireWire сегодня взять (на VIA VT6306 rev 46 сделанный).
Под 2.4.29 завелось на ohci1394, да сграбить ничего не вышло:
ohci1394_0: Transmit packet size 8 is too big
и здесь вот говорят, что это самое rev 46 and older под 2.4
работают только с патчиком:

Соответственно решил опять попробовать перебраться на 2.6 дома.
Следующими граблями оказалось чревато обновление libraw1394 --
kino сломалось, dvgrab не собрался, в общем, всё грустно.
До более системного решения взял снапшот, где это было, и сделал
sudo rpm -Uvh libquicktime-devel-0.9.4-alt1.i586.rpm libdv-devel-0.104-alt1.i586.rpm libraw1394-devel-0.10.0-alt1.i586.rpm libavc1394-devel-0.4.1-alt2.i586.rpm libquicktime-0.9.4-alt1.i586.rpm libraw1394-0.10.0-alt1.i586.rpm --oldpackage
По совету eostapets@ был пересобран под athlon xvid-1.0.3-alt1.1,
а также собраны с той libraw1394 kino и dvgrab (ЗАЧЕМ там этот
%__subst в спеке?!).
Последний сейчас занят вот чем:
dvgrab --timestamp --autosplit --size 1998 --csize 4400 --cmincutsize 10 dacha-
Попробую оформить на wiki... есть у нас что по видеотематике?
(судя по 1394+site:freesource.info, нет)
