Подобное безобразие возникает с некоторыми (кривыми) устройствами при
использовании параметра max_scsi_luns модуля scsi_mod. Собственно,
именно по этой причине max_scsi_luns не включается по умолчанию -
таких кривых устройств слишком много.
В ядрах 2.4.x нормальным образом это не лечится; ненормальным - либо
отрыванием max_scsi_luns (при этом перестают работать устройства типа
многослотовых кард-ридеров), либо отрыванием ide-scsi (в результате
чего запись CD/DVD будет идти без DMA).
