Собрать вручную pctel-0.8.6. У меня на одной из инсталляций такое
живет и даже работает, но иногда что-то не делит с nvidia и
вешает все напрочь. Владелец плачет, колется, но продолжает
кушать кактус.
Выход один: купить нормальный внешний модем.
