В общем взял (других не было):
Card reader Apacer MEGA STENO MG820 8-in-1 USB 2.0
Работает без проблем. Проверено правда пока только на MMC.
Правда был один неприятный момент, когда хозяин карты забыл снять с нее
код в телефоне. Система зависла намертво при подключении cardreader'a,
пришлось давить reset :-\
