Есть система с несколькими устройствами на IDE.

Всё работает, но как-то медленно.
Есть желание "получить больше за те же деньги". :)
Файл /etc/sysconfig/harddisks сплошные комментарии. Я правильно 
понимаю, что в моем случае снять комментарий с включения дма вполне 
безопасно? И в строку дополнительных ключей можно внести установку 
режима pio4?
Или не стоит? И нужно создавать по отдельному файлу на каждое 
устройство в /etc/sysconfig/harddisk?
