иные идеи следующие
[/lib/modules/2.4.26-std-up-alt6]$ find -type f -name "aic7*"
./kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx/aic79xx.o
./kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx/aic7xxx.o
./kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx_old.o
т.е. если не подошел aic7xxx, надо пробовать остальные
