Привет.
Может, кому окажется полезным следующая информация: чипсет ServerWorks, по
крайней мере, тот, который ставила в свои 2xCPU материнки SuperMicro,
включает в себя их же имени IDE-контроллер на оба канала. Если туда
включить что-то кроме primary master и не отключить UDMA, то байты будут
произвольным образом теряться при записи. От такой особенности очень
хорошо дохнут и FreeBSD и Linux.
То есть либо hda+UDMA, либо hda+hd[bcd]+PIO mode. Не все на это наступали,
потому что там набортный Adaptec SCSI, но мы на это нарвались с разбегу
когда-то и укокошили много нужных файлов.
