Подумываем о том, чтобы купить новый сервер (с последующей установкой
Master 2.4).
Сотрудники MaxSelect говорят, что в Альте тестировали их серверы, интересны
какие-нибудь результаты для выбора Xeon vs Opteron в режиме совместимости
с 32bit (например, платформы 8525 vs 6525, с наполнением одинаковой
стоимости и SCSI RAID 5) -- например, где быстрее собирается $x$ раз ядро
итд.
Также интересна стабильность систем, работоспособность 8525 (G2) под ALM 2.4
(в maxselecte говорят, что тестировали только на установку, может, есть
опыт использования?)
В каком состоянии сейчас дела по портированию Sisyphus под amd64? Из архива
рассылки следует, что дела ведутся, но куда они ушли сейчас, неясно :-)
Может быть, кто-то сам собирал отдельные пакеты; насколько велика разница
в производительности и в каких задачах?
Может быть, здесь есть люди, администрирующие Opteron-серверы под ALM
2.2/2.4, поделитесь, пожалуйста, опытом|впечатлениями, можно в личку
