Зачем вообще эта сертификация нужна? Это же большой вопрос, что
безопаснее - изученный бинарник, но без секьюрити фиксов или просто
пакет последней версии.
А с технической стороны есть разница между gnutls и openssl? И то и
другое вродебы поддерживают всё что нужно, раньше везде был openssl
потом окуда-то вылез gnutls и началась какая-то непонятная миграция на
него.
