Попробовал installer 2007-03-0x,
Спасибо Мише,
Тестировал на железе.
ставил рядом с основной системой в свободную партицию.
Из существенных багов следующее:
# bug 1) втихаря отформатировал swap-партицию,
# bug 1a) при этом естественно поленился узнать и сохранить ее LABEL.
fstab основной системы:
LABEL=SWAP-sda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
Потом я пол дня удивлялся, что за тормоза сегодня с машиной :)
# bug 2) нет возможности _НЕ СТАВИТЬ_ загрузчик.
Пришлось поставить в /dev/sda7.
# bug 2a) поставленный загрузчик не загрузился после
grub>
root(hd0,6)
chainloader +1
хотя я и не настаивал :)
Менее важные замечания отдельным письмом.
