Может быть потому что:
- апстримы распространяют именно в tar.gz/bz2
- если кому-то захочется просто взять спек и собрать по-старинке, с
помощью rpmbuild, то ему не придётся править спек
- раньше какая-то из утилит из etersoft-build-utils могла вытягивать
исходники если в Source указан Url
