Недавно разрабатывают. Кроме того, intel'овцы пока что в основном
занимались той низкоуровневой поддержкой, до которой руки у X.org-овцев
ещё не дошли: менеджер видеопамяти в ядре и управление видеорежимами,
согласованное с vt/fb и всем остальным, что раньше руками в PCI лазало.
К X.org 7.4 по признанию самих разработчиков, наконец, почти вся
инфраструктура наконец на месте и можно заняться написанием
непосредственно драйверов (почти - много что было выключено в том же
X.org 1.5, ибо не успело дозреть).
